Santa’s got nothing on this…

For ultimate effect sing along to the tune of ‘Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer…’

Grant Smillie the master-mind Dj,
Puts on a first-class show,
And if you’ve ever seen him,
You would know that his got ‘flow.

All of the other Dj’s,
Always yell and call his name,
They know they don’t come close,
To the man at his own game.

Then one steamy X-mas Eve,
L.T.M came to say,
“G. Smillie with your flair so bright,
Won’t you play at Mynt tonight?”

All of the locals loved him,
And they shouted out with glee,
Grant Smillie the ‘people’s’ Dj,
You’ll go down in His-to-ry!

Christmas Eve – December 24th.

Shake what your Mama gave you, Get on it!

SUMMER IS COVERED!

After a deep exam period and a bout of torrential rain, some are sitting there thinking ahh geees if only I had three hands. I could Facebook whilst texting Yvonne and still suck on a Polly waffle (RIP Polly waffle). WELL YOU DON'T!

Don’t starts with a D and so does December, December is just around the corner. Which brings me to my next point…Be prepared as too much sun can be cancerous and too much goon can cause you to write something similar to this.

SO WHATS ON IN THE JOLLY SEASON?

1. CHRISTIAN LUKE Does The Burbs – End of exams - This Thursday
2. THE VAUDEVILLAINS – THE POW! CARNIVAL – Fri 12th Dec.
3. BEACH PARTY - Boombox Summer Launch – Sat 13th Dec
4. GRANT SMILLIE Does The Burbs – CHRISSY EVE – Thur 24th Dec

DON’T FORGET!
Thursdays – Get in early.
Fridays – Rock on.
Saturdays – Happy hour.

Never trust a man with two first names…

While visions of alien wars, robo-dating and public transport actually arriving on time are yet to materialize; there is still hope. As we patiently wait for these ‘Works in Progress,’ Love That Music have been pedalling away on their time-travelling push bikes to kidnap an alternative sound plucked straight from the stereo of the future.

Seek and you shall find.
Diving head first into the ‘Burbs’ pool of stylized-insanity is Christian Luke. Bellyflop!
The no-nonsense turntable-wizard is bringing his conga-line of hits to the patrons of Mynt come November 26th.

Luke’s creative brainwaves have been certified over the past four years with his production experience taken on by main-stays Dirty South, Tommy Trash, Kurd Maverick, StoneBridge and Hook ‘N’ Sling. With appearances on Ministry of Sounds Annual ’09, Neon Essentials ’09 / Volume 2 and Vicious Cuts ’09; his intricate technique and meticulous detail is rapidly becoming the corner-stone of his time.

The main-mans mixes have nothing but dominated the Aria Charts over ‘08/09 including the smashing ‘You Are’ (Mic Neuman) put together with LTM’s very own Rob ‘Yeeeaaaahhhhh’ Pix.

The pair both signed by Vicious Records (Oz’s biggest independent dance label) are consistently gaining support from patriarchs Laidback Luke and Pete Tong. Their ability is injected heroin into the soul perfectly engineered for an explosive euphoric moment.

With Luke currently co-producing alongside Paul Mac and Sam La More on the second Potbelleez record; the 26th is a night to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels into the diary.

Monday Bloody Monday!

Sir Bob Geldof once sang “I don’t like Monday’s…I want to shoot the whole day down.” Most of the time we would agree with this brash and logical statement; But no-go this time oh wise one. Mynt Lounge is bringing you a POW! Monday special!

Fresh from a 10-month trek around the U.S, Chicago’s very own Mest will be hitting the Werribee shores November 23rd.

The boys distinct sound blended with their patriotic American-phrasing is a sure fire crutch-grabber, set to tease your earlobes and have you on bended knee pleading for more.

Mest gained their big-ass break after writing to Goldfinger front-man John Feldman. With their demo god-damn strapped down, Feldman took an instant liking and handed them a silver-platter of an opening act. Before you can say ‘Bob’s your uncle,’ the crew were snapped up by Maverick Records, have three studio albums to their name and are currently working on a new E.P.

With support from The Invitation, Masketta Fall, Our Best Laid Plans and Special-Guest Dj Josh (Behind Crimson Eyes) expect a cascade of antics within the Myntacular walls.

Ain’t no Easybeats a-la “Monday I’ve got Friday on my mind,” This time we’re doing things differently.

Nevermind the imitators. Here’s the real deal.

You know where it’s at.
